St Tim’s auction to enjoy Italian theme

By Brenda Erdahl

The students and families of St. Timothy’s Catholic School in Maple Lake invite the public to put on their most colorful dresses and hats and come to this year’s Italian themed spring auction/fundraiser, Saturday, April 7, where every dime spent goes back to the students and the school.

This will be the schools’ 21st annual event that traditionally attracts 300-plus people to the home-cooked meal and silent auction, and even more to the live auction that follows and ultimately ends with a car or $10,000 cash give-away.

“By the end of the night it’s standing room only,” event Co- Chair Brandi Brandstrom said.

The event started as a small steak dinner cooked and served by parents of St. Timothy students. Over the years it has grown into a community-wide event, but they held onto the tradition of a homecooked meal.

Under the guidance of Harney Heeralall, owner of the V by HH, the parents create what has now become an elegant dinner with multiple courses and desserts for several hundred people.
