Annandale resident wins $100,000 lottery prize

Taylor Hansen of Annandale is looking forward to doing a lot of 4-wheeling this summer thanks to a $100,000 lottery win. “I’m going to save most of it,” said Hansen when she presented her winning ticket for payment at Lottery headquarters in Roseville on May 1, but added that her first purchase will be a 4-wheeler. “We live out in the middle of nowhere with lots of land, so I’ll be able to go exploring,” she said. Hansen won the $100,000 prize by playing The Big $5 Ticket at Holiday Stationstores LLC, located at 110 Oakwood Drive, in Monticello. The business will receive a $500 bonus for selling the winning ticket. To date, Lottery players have won more than $7 billion. More than $2.8 billion in lottery proceeds have helped the State of Minnesota. More than $1.1 billion has helped preserve, restore and protect Minnesota’s environment in each of the 87 counties and $1.6 billion has helped fund state programs including education, public safety and health and human services.
