Deziel Heating & A/C: Making Customers happy since 1998

By Brenda Erdahl

“Thorough,” “professional,” “hard working,” “trustworthy,” “friendly,” “integrity” and a “stellar reputation” are some of the words customers have used to describe DeZiel Heating & A/C in Buffalo.

Since 1998, the familyowned and operated HVAC company has made keeping its customers happy the number one priority, and it’s been paying off.

The company has earned a five-star rating from Home Advisor and Google with more than 100 reviews, and the compliments keep pouring in.

“My heat went out and not knowing much about furnaces I was a little nervous of finding a trusting person to fix my issue. From the initial phone call early in the morning the man who answered was so professional and friendly I felt right away I made a good choice. When the phone call request was then followed up with the exceptional service provided by a young gentleman who even took the time in explaining everything and answering my questions. If this is their normal everyday service, then I will definitely, only be calling them for all my service needs. Thanks, DeZiel and keep up the great customer service and work,” a happy Montrose customer said.

Mike and his wife Dana of Maple Lake own DeZiel Heating & A/C located behind Culvers in Buffalo, and are proud to service the west metro, all of Wright County and surrounding cities with all of its heating and air conditioning needs.

This time of the year, the DeZiel’s and their staff, which includes six technicians, are busy keeping homeowners cool with central air installations and repairs.

To keep utility bills reasonable throughout the summer, DeZiel Heating & A/C staff recommend homeowners perform a yearly maintenance on their A/C systems to make sure it is running as efficiently as possible.

DeZiel technicians follow a 21-point check list when they come to your home to perform an A/C maintenance inspection. At the top of the list is cleaning and checking the coil, outdoor fan and blades so the system doesn’t overheat, and inspecting all electrical connections.

“We make sure everything is tight and bright,” Mike said.

DeZiel Heating & A/C makes it easy for customers to remember to have their system checked by offering a service partner plan for $9.99 a month. By becoming a service partner, customers will receive a call every fall and spring to remind them.

“We call you so you don’t have to think of it,” Dana said.

The cost of the program covers two tune ups, one in the fall and the other in the spring. Members also receive a 10 percent discount on parts and become a priority customer, which means when you call, your job will be scheduled ahead of others who are not priority members.

“The going rate for a tune-up is $115, so it’s a good value,” Mike said.

If a problem does arise during those hot months, DeZiel Heating & A/C has someone available 24 hours to fix it.

“We pride ourselves on our very fast response, and if there is an emergency, we’re even faster,” Mike said. “We strive for excellence, putting our customer’s best interests first, and we treat each and every home we enter as our own.”

Being certified NATE, which stands for North American Technician Excellence, means DeZiel technicians can offer a faster and more accurate diagnosis.

Mike himself carries master competency cards in gas, refrigeration, sheet metal and hot water steam, something not many people in the business can claim.

In 2015 the company was awarded Amana’s Dealer Excellence Award which is given out annually to Amana dealers who not only meet, but excel at the manufacturer’s core values of integrity, level of service provided and volume of training attended each year.

Besides maintenance, DeZiel’s technicians are skilled at furnace and central air repair and installation. They also install and maintain many minisplit systems, gas fireplaces, heat-pumps, and Plenum heaters.

“For every installation we do in Buffalo, we will donate $25 to our local food shelf. So help our community thrive and grow by buying locally,” Mike said.

DeZiel currently has six technicians on staff, but the company is always expanding and growing. That desire to grow has led to the inclusion of a master plumber, which means DeZiel can now install water heaters as well.

“The DeZiel Team was great to work with. Mike worked with me to determine the best solution to keep my family cool, comfortable and warm at a very affordable price. Jeff, Andy, RJ, and Hunter are very hard-working guys that produced a superior product during one of the hottest days of the summer. They kept me up to speed on progress and finished up with a Q&A session to ensure all my questions were answered. Great people, great service and great products,” a happy Buffalo custo

Another customer from Maple Lake reported: “We decided to go with DeZiel because of their stellar reputation and excellent staff. Matt Weber did an outstanding p

resentation and is an icon of professionalism. The crew was very courteous and respectful. The split A/C unit was installed in a timely manner and functions flawlessly. The crew did a wonderful job of end user training. We would definitely refer DeZiel to anyone looking for an HVAC contractor.”
