The No. 1 seeded Maple Lake Irish baseball team (18-2) recieved a first-round bye to start the Section 5AA Tournament.
The Irish were scheduled to play its first post-season game on Tuesday, May 29, at home against the No. 8 seed Norwood- Young America. Results were not available at presstime.
If the Irish were to win, they would play again on Wednesday, May 30 at 4:30 p.m. in Glencoe against the winner of the No. 12 Breck School vs No. 4 Southwest Christian.
Game seven is scheduled for Monday, June 4 at 7 p.m. at Glencoe with the final game(s) of the tournament set for Thursday, June 7 starting at 4:30 p.m. at Glencoe.
The winner of the tournament will qualify for state June 14-16.
