Shooters keep No. 2 spot

The Irish trap team continues to hold onto the second place spot in Conference 3A after its third week of competition.

Qualifying for the Top 25 Males in Conference 3A by av- erage score are Hunter Wurm with a 22.67; Hunter Manka with a 22.33 average; Sam Neutz with a 22.33 average; Ian Larson with a 21.83; Jack Peter- son with a 21.83; Matt Neuman with a 21.33; Dan Neutz with a 21.33 and Brady Carlson with a 21.17 average.

Qualifying for the Top 25 Fe- males in Conference 3A by av- erage score are Emma Spike with a 15.83 average; Andrea Peterson with a 15.00 and Serina Benson with a 13.17 average.

The Irish competed again on Monday, May 14, and despite some rain the “majority of the team shot extremely well,” head coach Suzee Schaunaman said.

The athletes won’t find out how well they shot until Sunday, May 20 after all the scores throughout the state are submit- ted. The Irish’s next and final competition shoot will be Mon- day, May 21 before the Maple Lake Trap Team heads to Alexandria on Wednesday, June 13. Alexandria is known as the Championship and is the Min- nesota State High School Clay Target League state qualifier.
