Maple Lake kicked off the win streak with 5-1 and 15-4 victories over Pierz in a double header on Thursday, May 3.

Calli Maki got the win on the mound, allowing four hits and one run over six innings, striking out 10 and walking none.

Pierz put up three runs in the bottom of the second inning to start game two, but two big innings (the third and fourth) secured the win for the Irish.

Hits by Peyton Tongen, Bryn Elsenpeter, Amber Klug and Maki and a home run by Katie Goelz supplied nine runs in the fourth inning for Maple Lake. The Irish added six more in the third for good measure.
