Marie Mavencamp welcomed seven children to the library’s first summer story-time at the McHugh Building on Monday, June 11.
Their theme was Planting a Garden. Marie read a couple books about planting a vegetable garden and what flowers we can find each month of the year. Then they sang a song about a growing seeds and acted out the words. Each child received a plastic flower pot which had a paper insert to color flowers and butterflies. Each child received a snack after they were done.
Next week’s theme is about birds. Please bring something to share, Mavencamp said.
