Finding clues with Rowdy

A sunny summer Monday morning brought 12 young Maple Lake readers to the library for some fun with a cheerful golden retriever, eager to greet them all. The Reading with Rowdy “Figure It Out” series continued with another mystery chapter book – “The Clue in the Clubhouse”. Readers volunteered to take turns reading aloud, then the group worked together to solve a crossword puzzle review of the story, with time at the end to search the library for their next “Read and Redeem” book selection. Participants this week included: Front row: Hans Peterson, Eve Lang, Leo Lang, Clark Hawkinson, Hazel Jacobson, Isabelle Melgaard, Middle row: Daniel Carriveau, Oliver Hawkinson, Elijah Dorse (hidden), Back row: Lauren Peterson, Charlie Peterson, and Khloe Uecker. Reading with Rowdy is targeted to young readers who have completed grades 1 – 3, but all ages are welcome. Registration is not required and there is no charge for the program, which is offered at the Maple Lake Library on Monday mornings (9:30-10:30) through July 23 – only two weeks left, so please join us!
