Celebrating a rich history Irish Blessings’ Red House gets 100-year birthday party

One hundred years ago Oak Ave North in Maple Lake looked nothing like it does today. Where Highway 55 cuts through the land with its unceasing busyness, there were peaceful cornfields and bountiful farmland. On the edge of that cornfield is where Bernard and Cecelia (Leick) Jude built what locals today affectionately call the “Red House.” The two-story home was built in 1918 and holds a century worth of memories for the people who lived and visited there.
