Irish runners get pie with season’s first win; boys finish 10th overall

The Irish girls’ cross country team conquered the Holdingford Invite, Thursday, Sept. 6, winning top honors and a homemade apple pie. It was the first win for the girls’ team that finished second last week at its first outing. Maple Lake defeated 12 other teams on its way to first place. Leading the pack was freshman Sophie Pribyl who finished third overall with a time of 20:56. ‘

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The Irish boys team showed their lack of depth and experience by taking 10th of 12 at Holdingford despite Mike Miller’s runnerup finish.
