Runners defend title and bring home Johnnie Bread

The Irish girls’ cross country team dominated the St. John’s “Johnnie Bread” Invite, Thursday, Sept. 27, to defend their title and easily outrun the field. The Irish showed their depth, placing four runners in the top 10 with an “excellent” race by No. 5 runner Grace Heying who finished just seconds shy of 10th place, Head Coach Ben Youngs said.

The boys’ varsity took eighth without lead runner Mike Miller who was resting an injury.
