Cast your vote for a new basketball court

By Brenda Erdahl:

The City of Maple Lake has been selected as a finalist for the Our Courts, Our Future program presented by U.S. bank. If chosen, the Minnesota Timberwolves FastBreak Foundation will rejuvenate a basketball court in town with all the bells and whistles. Four courts will be selected from nominations received by the fans and Maple Lake is among the top three in Central Minnesota. One community from four regions in Minnesota will be chosen. Community members are invited to cast their votes at www.timberwolves.com/ourcourts starting Tuesday, May 7. The public can vote once per day, per region until 11:59 p.m. Friday, May 24. The community with the most votes gets a new basketball court. Competing with Maple Lake is Lindbergh Elementary in Little Falls and Carrol Broadbend Memorial Park in Stacy. If Maple Lake wins, the basketball courts at the community park would get the make-over.
