Forty years ago, when Deanna Lauer joined the banking industry, calculators that used paper rolls were an essential piece of equipment and loan payments were manually calculated and written down on home-made spreadsheets. A lot has changed since 1979 but one thing remains the same – Lauer’s love for her job. Lauer is the cashier and operations manager at Star Bank in Maple Lake. This year she celebrated her 40th year in the business.
