The Maple Lake girls’ basketball team won two out of three games last week, then opened this week with another victory. The Irish got off to a strong start on Tuesday, Feb. 4 when they defeated Central Minnesota Conference foe Kimball 46-27 at home. On Thursday, Feb. 6, the Irish defeated Spectrum 54-46 in another home game. Maple Lake ended the week at Eden Valley-Watkins where they lost 45-24. Maple Lake kicked off this’s week’s competitive schedule with another win, defeating Osakis 54-50 on the road. The wins boost the Irish record to 8-13 overall and 3-8 in the CMC.
