Library gets a presidential visit

By Brenda Erdahl

Abraham Lincoln, George Washington and Betsy Ross paid a visit to the Maple Lake Library on Wednesday, Feb. 12 in honor of Honest Abe’s birthday and Presidents’ Day. The community was invited to stop by for a piece of George Washington’s favorite dessert, cherry pie, and meet the historical figures. From left is George Washington (Pam Osterberg) Abe Lincoln (Nick Pawlenty) and Betsy Ross (Marie Mavencamp). Washington was the first president of the United States, Lincoln was the 16th and Ross is credited with making the first American flag.
