CJ’s Deal Depot donates masks

By Brenda Erdahl

Corey Geyer owner of CJ’s Deal Depot in Maple Lake donated 10 to 20 packs of masks to Allina Hospital in Buffalo recently.

Geyer said he had a customer come in and buy a pack of masks for his construction job and was inspired. He had been watching the news and seeing shortages of masks, then after selling one pack, he thought the masks could be better used by the Buffalo Hospital.

“This is what everyone needs right now,” he said.

He dropped the masks off on Monday, March 23.

Allina Health continues to ask for donations of masks, both factory and homemade. Masks can be dropped off daily now through April 5 at many Allina Hospitals including Buffalo. Drop off hours are from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Donors are to stay in their car and a staff member will come to you. Look for “mask donation” signage as you arrive.
