A very different commencement to take place Friday

The Maple Lake High School class of 2020 will graduate on Friday, May 29 and it will be like no other commencement in the school’s 111-year history.
Instead of a gym filled with eager graduates, parents, friends, and relatives the high school parking lot will serve as the gathering place. Strict rules dictate that only one vehicle is allowed per graduate and all attendees must remain in their vehicles at all times. From the front seat, graduates, decked out in their caps and gowns will accept their diploma through the car window from School Board Chairman Chris Paumen and pose for a picture by Zahler Photography.
