Kathleen “Katie” Jude, age 68, of Maple Lake died Thursday, May 21, 2020 at St. Benedict’s Memory Care Villa in Monticello.

A public drive-through visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m., Thursday, May 28, 2020 at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, south of Maple Lake on County Road 8 in Chatham Township. Please remain in your vehicles at all times during the visitation. A private Funeral Liturgy will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday, May 29, 2020 at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery. A Memorial Mass will be held at a later date at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. In lieu of flowers memorials are preferred to St. Timothy Catholic Church or the charity of the donor’s choice

Kathleen Ann Jude was born November 26, 1951 in Buffalo, Minnesota to Mathaeus and Annabelle (Raiche) Schaufler. Katie grew up in Maple Lake, graduating from Maple Lake High School with the Class of 1969. On June 1, 1974, she was united in marriage to Michael James Jude at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake. Katie worked for 35 years for Prudential, retiring in 2007 as Vice President of her division. Mike and Katie enjoyed traveling across the country, as well as traveling to overseas destinations, such as Rome, Israel, and Ireland. Katie also enjoyed camping and boating. She was an active member and volunteer at St. Timothy Catholic Church and St. Timothy Catholic Cemeteries. Her greatest joy was the time that she spent with her family, friends, and most of all, her grandchildren.

Katie is survived by her sons, Ryan (Kari) Jude of Annandale and Aaron Jude of Maple Lake; grandchildren, Cody Stueven, Alayna Jude and Makenna Jude; sisters and brothers, Mary Lou (Dan) McElwee of Monticello, Charles Schaufler (Wendy Jost) of Maple Lake, James (Deborah) Schaufler of Maple Lake, Suzanne (Al) Holland of Starbuck and Jerry (Tammy) Schaufler of Maple Lake; care giver and special friend, Jane Decker; and many neices, nephews, other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.

The casket bearers will be Cody Stueven, Alayna Jude and Makenna Jude, Charles, James and Jerry Schaufler. Deacon Ron Freeman will officiate the Funeral Liturgy. Arrangements are entrusted with Dingmann Funeral Care Burial & Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
