Cathy Marquette was never one to enjoy an office job, so midway through her life she decided a change was in order.
“I tried office jobs, but I didn’t like them. Being cooped up wasn’t for me,” she said.
She lived with her family in rural Buffalo at the time and owned several animals including dogs. One day she tried her hand at grooming her own dogs, then her mother-in-law’s dog. Before long she knew she had found her calling.
That was the beginning of Paws and Claws Grooming which today is located on Division Street in Downtown Maple Lake.
