State demographer projections show steady growth in Wright County

For much of 2020, the United States Census Bureau is tracking the official count of U.S. residents. However, populations can change significantly over the course of 10 years and states take that into account. In the years in between census periods, state demographers use household estimates to determine population counts – which are used for funding formulas for several state and federal programs and funding mechanisms.

The 2019 preliminary demographer population numbers show that Wright County has grown from 124,700 in 2010 to 134,531 in 2019 – an increase of 13,831 residents in nine years.
