Judith Ann Pribyl was born November 27, 1942 in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Merrill and Ann (Vargo) Ludgate. Judy grew up in Minneapolis, where she attended South High School, graduating in 1960. On December 13, 1974, she was united in marriage to Ernest “Butch” Pribyl and they later divorced. They made their home on Maple Lake, where their three children were raised. She worked as a server at Bob’s Bay Club for over 25 years; she spent the next 13 years as a paraprofessional at the Wright Learning Center. Judy loved spending time on the lake and being outdoors, whether it be waterskiing, fishing, or sitting around a campfire. She also liked to crochet and read. Judy loved to entertain and host gatherings at the lake and she will lovingly be remembered as “Grandma Judy” to many. Her greatest enjoyment in life came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Judy is survived by her children, Jeff (Teri) Pribyl, Lori Miller, and Jessica (Ben) Elsenpeter, all of Maple Lake; 6 grandchildren, Josh (Kaitlyn) Pribyl, Sam Schaffer, Jamie (Cole) Willcoxen, Trenton Miller, Gracie Elsenpeter, and Bryn Elsenpeter; 3 great-grandchildren, Brody Paulson, Lincoln and Quinley Willcoxen; and other family members and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, Merrill and Ann Ludgate; and brother, Robert Ludgate; and fiancé, Harlow Penaz.

Judy’s grandchildren will serve as pallbearers. Arrangements entrusted to Dingmann Funeral Care Burial and Cremation Services of Maple Lake.
