St. Timothy students remain in school amid closings due to COVID-19

As COVID cases continue to climb in Minnesota communities and more and more schools turn to distance learning, including Maple Lake Public Schools, students and staff at St. Timothy’s are grateful to still be in the classroom.

The private Catholic School in Maple Lake plans to continue in-school learning as public schools prepare for a two week “reset,” in which students will learn from home much like they did last spring. Unlike the public school, which has recorded upwards of 14 COVID positive cases, St. Tim’s has not had a single positive case, Principal Julie Shelby said. She said the school has had to quarantine students because of possible exposure, but so far, they have not had COVID in the building.
