Frosty morning makes a magical ride

The beautifully frosted trees we’ve been experiencing lately made a scenic backdrop for the annual dogsled rides at Ney Park last weekend.

The annual event was the first to kick off the official winter season at the park. Later this month and into February Ney Park near Maple Lake will continue efforts to encourage folks out into nature with two Lantern Cross Country Ski events and a Sweetheart Snowshoe/Boot Hike.

According to Brad Harrington, Wright County Parks and Recreation Office Operations Manager, the people at Parks and Rec. have been working hard to provide opportunities for residents to get out and explore the county parks in a safe manner during the pandemic because many physical and mental benefits have been tied to exercise and nature.
