Basketball players take home awards

The Maple Lake boys’ basketball team celebrated the conclusion of its season at an awards ceremony, Monday, April 5 at the Maple Lake Bowling Alley. Several athletes took home hardware. Earning First Team All-Conference was Brayden Belanger. Belanger also claimed the Best Defense, team award. Ryley Hagen was named Second Team All-Conference and claimed the Best Offense, team award. Ernesto Brown and Zane Jude were both Academic All-Conference and both won Most Improved. The remaining team awards went to Connor Stroud. Stroud was named Hardest Worker by his peers and received the Love of the Game (coach award).
