Brute’s Bleat by Harold Brutlag

It seems I’m getting out-fished by whom ever I take with me and last week is was George Palmer who caught 13 keeper sunfish to my 5. One of my alibis was my stubbornness not to change colors of jigs. He was using a predominantly yellow jig and I tried a green one along with several other colors before I switched to yellow. The yellow jig was from one he took out of the anchor rope! Color made all the difference in the world that Tuesday and after three hours on the lake we guessed we had  our 20 sunfish thanks  to being able to party-fish. When it came to steaking them out I cleaned my five and figured I was through, but Palmer  didn’t go along with that theory.
