The Maple Lake Lakers advanced to the second round of the Minnesota State Tournament on Sunday, Aug. 22 in a game that almost did not happen due to multiple rain delays. Delano lost to Spring Hill 4-3 (11 innings) and Hutchinson lost 5-1 to Sartell, leaving only Loretto and Maple Lake representing the North Star League going forward.
