I am still searching for whoever killed the English language. It’s dead, I’m sure. I offer in evidence a trend to use nouns as verbs. Ad agencies are now implicated in my quest. Television research is a fundamental feature of my life. Some might call it an obsession rather than research. I blame Covid-19 since in its various forms I have been forced by the medical profession and politicians just about everywhere to spend every waking moment watching television until one TV wore out and we had to buy another online, with no-hands delivery to the car by sterilized attendants.
Recently I have been told that they found a new way “to Pizza.” I haven’t figured out the old way to Pizza yet and have been eating pizza for generations.
The digital world invited me to Peacock the other day and so far I haven’t even mastered Looning, and now the loons have flown south. I may have to delete that Peacock application from my phone and get one on Birdwatching. Learn to walk before you run, I say.
