Jennifer Smail, owner of Cuddigan Leather is forging new paths into a wider world with her leather-bag artistry, but she’s not forgetting where it all started.
Cuddigan Leather originated in Maple Lake as Custom Bagfitters when Smail (also a Maple Lake native) realized she had been blessed with what she called a “really weird gift.”
“I could make bags, I could design bags and I loved it,” she said.
An artist with an interest and skill in a variety of mediums, Smail chose to put her efforts toward her new passion. Custom Bagfitters opened in 2017 and over the years met with much success both online and at her storefront in downtown Maple Lake.
