Maple Lake’s Movies on Birch will be back this summer, only they won’t be shown on Birch Avenue like in years past. The event will be moved to the Community Park on Division Street which organizers feel is a more kid-friendly environment.
Friday, July 29th is the first show and will feature Disney’s “Encanto.” The next feature, in honor of the Gear-Head Get Together – which takes place the next day – is Disney’s “Cars,” on Friday, Aug. 19. Both shows start at dusk (between 9 and 9:30 p.m.).
“I’m excited to get to do this,” said Deputy Clerk DJ Brown who did much of the leg work to put these events together. “Who doesn’t want to go see a free movie outside in the summer in the park.”
Movies on Birch will now be Movies in the Park with the first feature scheduled for Friday, July 29 at dusk in the Maple Lake Community Park on Division Street.
