Authors appear at Book Break

These three authors received a warm welcome from old and new fans Saturday, Aug. 20. The three engaged with readers and signed copies of their books at a table outside Book Break in downtown Maple Lake during the Gear-Head Get Together. Book Break was one of the many Birch Avenue businesses that benefited from the community event that drew thousands of people from around the area and state. Pictured from left, is award-winning Minnesota novelist and editor Nate Granzow. Granzow is the author of several books including “Get Idiota” and “Zimbabwe Hustle.” Sitting next to Granzow is Dorothy Rosby a syndicated humor columnist whose pieces appear regularly in the Maple Lake Messenger. She is also the author of three books of humorous essays, including “I Used to Think I Was Not That Bad and Then I Got to Know Me Better.” On the end is Jim Studer, a local author who has published several books including, “The Road Taken.” His columns also appear in the Maple Lake Messenger.
