Exactly one year after it was destroyed by fire, Little Jim’s Sports Fish’n and Hunt’n Store, re-opened Wednesday, March 15.
“It took longer than it should have, but we’re back,” said Kurt Segner of the popular outdoor store that has been in the Segner family since 1978.
Not only is the store back at its location on Highway 55 on the east edge of the city limits, patrons will find the new store, at 8,000 square feet, is significantly larger than the older store.
“It’s double the size,” Segner said, which will allow Little Jim’s to keep all seasonal inventories on display all year round. Before, the store had to rotate inventory with the seasons because of lack of space.
The new store will also see some lines expanded and some new lines, including Pitt Boss Grills and Griddles. More tackle lines have been added as well as some other categories.
Little Jim’s will add jerky and other meat snacks from Petty Bros. Meats.
Anglers and other outdoor enthusiasts can look forward to a full line of fishing and hunting gear and accessories, including live bait and just about everything that’s needed to fish the area lakes.
