Dean C. Woolstencroft, Monticello

Dean C. Woolstencroft, age 86, of Monticello, formerly of Buffalo, died Friday, August 25, 2023, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Funeral Liturgy will be held 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, August 31, 2023, at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Maple Lake with visitation one hour prior to the service. Fr. Kevin Magner will officiate. Burial will follow at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery in Chatham Township, Maple Lake.

Dean Carleton Woolstencroft was born October 8, 1936, in St. Paul, Minnesota to William and Cyllene (Butler) Woolstencroft. He graduated from White Bear Lake High School and earned a Bachelor Degree from the University of Minnesota. He served his country in the U.S. Army National Guard. On October 3, 1964, Dean was united in marriage to Helen Jeanette Elsenpeter in St. Paul. Dean worked as a CPA and as a computer programmer for numerous companies. Dean and Jeanette lived in many cities and states over the years before retiring to Buffalo, Minnesota in 2000; they have lived for the past four years in Monticello. Dean enjoyed gardening, traveling, taking photos, and working and playing on computers. His greatest joy came when camping and spending time with his nieces and nephews.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette of Monticello; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Aloysius “Al” and Patricia Elsenpeter, Harold Elsenpeter, and Krista Elsenpeter Tarbox; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, William and Cyllene Woolstencroft; brother, William Woolstencroft; sister, Ruth Carlson; brother-in-law, Dcn. Gregory Elsenpeter; sister-in-law, Mary Woolstencroft; and nephew Joseph Elsenpeter.
