Local business burglarized

An undisclosed amount of cash was stolen from the Maple Lake Bar and Grill early Sunday morning Sept. 10, the Wright County Sheriff’s Office reported.

Deputies were called to the Maple Lake business at 3 a.m. where they and the owner discovered the suspect had forcefully entered the business through a window.

According to the Sheriff’s Office, a similar burglary took place during the early morning hours of Sept. 10th at Hawk’s Bar in Monticello. Both cases are under investigation by the Sheriff’s Office.

The Sheriff’s Office reminds homeowners and business owners of the importance of outdoor lighting and alarm systems as well as surveillance systems when possible. It is also important for business owners to secure valuables and cash as much as possible and to report any suspicious activity as soon as possible to the Sheriff’s Office.

Someone broke into the Maple Lake Bar and Grill last weekend and stole an undisclosed amount of money, according to the Wright County Sheriff’s Office.
