A Message from Wright County Elections:
Direct balloting for the School District 877 (Buffalo-Hanover-Montrose) bond referendum is taking place now through Nov. 6. Eligible voters may visit the Taxpayer Services counter at the Wright County Government Center (3650 Braddock Avenue NE, Buffalo) to cast their votes and place their ballots directly into the tabulator.
Direct balloting is occurring earlier than normal due to recent changes in state law which allow for 18 days of direct balloting. Previously only seven days were allowed. Direct balloting at the government center is only available for School District 877. Voters who wish to cast an early ballot for the School District 2687 (Howard Lake-Waverly-Winsted) referendum need to visit the 2687 District Office in Howard Lake.
The Wright County Government Center will also be open on Saturday, Nov. 4 for extended early voting hours. Early voting will be available from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m. Only voters from School District 877 will be able to cast ballots at the Government Center that Saturday.
Mail balloting still available
Eligible voters may still contact Wright County Elections if they would like to vote early by mail. Voters are encouraged to mail their ballots by Nov. 3 to ensure processing. Voters always have the option to personally deliver their ballot, and up to three others ballots directly to the Taxpayer Services counter at the Wright County Government Center.
