Irish Volleyball team wins two in a row

The Irish volleyball team tacked two more wins to its record last week to make the Maple Lake team 14-12 overall and 2-3 in the Central Minnesota Conference.

On Tuesday, Oct. 10, the Irish traveled to Breck High School where they won 3-0. Game scores were 25-16, 25-15 and 25-21.

Avery Lee was 13 for 16 serving with three aces, four kills, eight assists and four digs; Alex Kiebel was 12 for 13 serving with two aces, 13 kills, five assists, two digs and three blocks; Sydney Breimon was three for five serving with four kills, eight digs and one block; Grace Ronnenberg had one kill and one dig; Danica Hageman was eight for 10 serving; Ava Knutson was eight for 10 serving with two aces and one dig; Addison Kramer had one dig; Abby Linder had two kills and two blocks; Avery Rowe was four for five serving with one ace and two digs; Maddy Lind was one for one serving with one dig and Eliana Fuller was eight for 12 serving with one ace, two assists and 15 digs.

The Irish served 79 percent as a team with nine aces and 35 total digs.

On Thursday, Oct. 12, the Irish hosted Eden Valley-Watkins and won 3-0 in front of a large parents’-night crowd. Game scores were 25-17, 25-20, 25-23.
