Making no bones about it Family south of Maple Lake is keeping Halloween decorating fun

By Brenda Erdahl

Traffic has increased by the old Jim Borell place just south of Maple Lake ever since October 1st rolled around – that’s when the first skeletons appeared. The bony group was gathered around a brightly decorated picnic table, posed as if celebrating a birthday.

The skeleton crew has since been seen playing games like basketball and corn-hole and participating in other activities all in the name of fun. Every two to three days, Tara Howard, her husband Matthew and their three children pose the skeletons in different ways to create scintillating scenes that catch the eyes of drivers passing by on nearby County Road 8.

The skeletons are back at the old Jim Borell place off County Road 8 in Maple Lake. They first appeared this season as pictured above.  Every few days the skeletons are doing something new to bring smiles to people’s faces this Halloween season.
