Ronald John Hoxmeier, age 83, passed away on September 26, 2023 after an extended time in hospice care. Ron was born in Orleans, Nebraska to Alfonse and Betty Hoxmeier. The family bought a farm and moved to Eden Valley when he was 5 years old. He married Judy Dockendorf and they had two children: Kimberly Dawn and R. John Henry. Ron and Judy lived most of their life near Maple Lake on a hobby farm where they raised Great Pyrenees and had beautiful flower gardens. Ron worked for the Teamsters for 38 years before he retired to take care of Judy. His loving wife passed away in 2004 and Ron moved back to his hometown of Eden Valley. There he met Janet Ellingson and they shared a love of country music, dancing, and wintering in Arizona. Ron cared deeply about family and friends and had a knack for entertaining.
He will be buried in Assumption Cemetery in Eden Valley. A Celebration of Life will be held at the Eden Valley Community Center at 2pm on October 20th.
