Volleyball team defeats Braham, falls to B-B-E

The Maple Lake High School volleyball team started the week with a 3-0 win over Braham then ended with a 2-3 loss to Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa.

The Irish traveled for both games. On Tuesday, Oct. 3 they visited Braham and on Thursday, Oct. 5 they went to B-B-E.

Game scores of Tuesday night’s game at Braham were 25-17, 25-16 and 25-18.

Avery Lee was 18 for 18 serving with four aces, eight kills, 12 assists and 15 digs; Alex Kiebel was 12 for 14 serving with three aces, 13 kills, 11 assists and seven digs; Sydney Breimon was three for three serving with five kills and three digs; Grace Ronnenberg contributed a block; Danica Hageman was 15 for 16 serving with three aces, two kills and eight digs; Ava Knutson was six for eight serving with four digs; Addison Kramer had two digs; Abby Linder had two kills and one block; Avery Rowe was one for one serving with one dig and Eliana Fuller was three for three serving with one ace, one kill and 16 digs.

The Irish served 92 percent with 11 aces and 56 digs overall.

Thursday night’s game scores at B-B-E were 18-25, 19-25,25-18, 25-15 and 9-15.
