Enjoy Christmas in Maple Lake

By Brenda Erdahl

Find fun for every age at the newly imagined Christmas in Maple Lake.

Downtown business owners took the 18-year-old holiday tradition and put a new spin on it for Christmas 2023.  What used to be a morning event that catered to families with young children, has expanded into two events – one for kids in the morning, and one for grown-ups in the afternoon, said Brandan Hoon, owner of the Spooky Brew Coffee Co. and one of the event organizers.

Parents are invited to bring the kids to downtown Maple Lake from 10 a.m. until noon, Saturday, Dec. 2 where they will get to meet Santa Claus and his reindeer, roast smores over an open fire and enjoy an assortment of activities indoors at the downtown businesses.

Santa will arrive by fire truck at 10 a.m. Saturday morning, Dec. 2 outside Sunfish Dental on Birch Avenue and be available for pictures inside the dental clinic all morning. Tykes can enjoy a variety of activities until noon all located in the downtown area.
