Thank you to Finance Manager Kristi Anderson for all of her hard work on this years school audit.
A special thank you to our building principals David Hansen and Kris Harlan and everything you do for our students. October is National Principals Month. Maple Lake is lucky to have both of you.
A huge thank you to Amy Voigt who did a training with our teaching staff to get them prepared for their first round of assessments. She also has done troubleshooting continually!
Elementary assessment team: Kelly Seibert, Shelby Halderson, Ruth Pesch & Ethan Schwehr. They put the time into doing the learning modules to assess all of our K-1 students one-on-one.
Genet Van Kempen: our new foster grandparent. She had done one-on- one CBM testing in Monticello so she stepped in and did that assessment with each of our 2nd-3rd graders!
Kelly Seibert with her acceptance into the O.G. practicum.

Rowe reported meals served have increased along with al carte. Breakfast will now be served on late start days.

Rowe reviewed the three year evaluation cycle.

9.A. Spring MCA Testing Data
MCA testing data Math scores. Reading scores we would like to see improvement. Science scores are lower staff is working on the MCA Forbes to align the curriculum to the
testing. MCA tests are aligned to state standards at late start they will reviewing areas where we need improvement.

9.D. September State of the School
Rowe reviewed the hirings. National Hot Lunch day is tomorrow. We have issued our first purchase order for the IAQ project, bids are expected in January. 4-year-old preschool transportation will be brought to the board for discussion.

10.A. District Leadership Team – Colleen Carlson None
10.B. ECFE/Community Education – Liz Lind
1. finishing up 1-4 grade flag football this week.
2. 5th/6th grade tackle football ended their season Saturday. We had 96 participate in grades 1-6,
3. Run Like the Wind was a success. 21 participants and 18 students participated in the Litchfield meet last Thursday.
4. Gymnastics- 6 classes currently running and we have over 70 kids participating.
5. Fall elementary volleyball finishes up their session this Thursday with the Youth Night T- shirt signing event. We had 33 participants in grades 3-6.
7. 4-6 grade traveling basketball registration is currently open.
8. 3-6 grade Monday Night Hoops registration is currently open.
9. Ski Club is open and we have 30 students already registered.
10. Irish Fitness Center- 91 adult memberships, 10 student memberships and 58 monthly memberships.
11. We put tabs with links on the district website in an effort to help the community find information. This will help families find and/or register for any of our adult programming courses, who to contact if they would like to receive information about Kidville and/or preschool, a link to our online catalog, a link to our Early Childhood classes, and to our youth recreation classes.

10.D. Meeker and Wright Special Ed Co-Op – Colleen Carlson
Carlson reported MDE is seeing the most complaints that they have ever had. New legislation means kids can now be in school until age 22. The supervisor agreement has been ratified.
10.E. Minnesota State High School League – Kaitlyn Helmbrecht
Speech will adjust the requirement for citations with the use of visual aids, the definition of stage properties and the implementation of a tie-breaker effective in 2024. The high school league has added boys volleyball as a spring sport in 2024-25. Softball will have a third day added to the state tournament beginning in 2024.
10.F. Safe Schools Committee – Colleen Carlson
Thomas full house, Wright County Your Future Careers is November 8th. Poster project to highlight the positive , fully staffed, SRO would like to see changes in the legislative
bills. Community Dental care has severed thousand of people in their first year. Safe communities has a new website, safe.com.org. Crashes after school in Wright County versus state avers
10.G. Technology Committee – Chris Paumen None.
10.H. Wright Technical Center – Colleen Carlson
Carlson reported, the job fair is scheduled for October 16th with 88 exhibitors.
10.I. Elementary School – Andy Sawatzke
Harlan reported, staff received training on the modules in Fastbridge. The bookfair and conferences will be held next week. Eight of thirty-three observations have been completed. Hat day will held on late start all donations will be given to the Sawatzke family. LEEA winners are Mrty Kiebel and Sam Nissen.
10.J. High School – Dave Hansen
Hansen reported late start this month staff will review MCA and Fastbridge testing. Mid- quarter is Wednesday October 11. Parent-teacher conferences are Monday October
16. Juniors who signed up will be taking the PSAT test on October 23, 2023 and the high school LEEA winners are Chad Elston and Melissa Pearson.
