The Giving Tree

Contributed report

The Christmas season is quickly approaching, and the Giving Tree program will once again help ensure Santa is able to visit all families, the disabled and the elderly of the Maple Lake community.

The Giving Tree is Maple Lake’s version of Toys for Tots or Silent Santa. Toy collection boxes have been placed at area businesses. As you see these boxes, know the toys, gifts and food donations stay within the Maple Lake area.  Area businesses hosting a collection box are: Star Bank of Maple Lake, Spooky Brew Coffeehouse, Nutrition is our Mission, Maple Lake Lumber, King’s 46, Holy Gifts, and The Costume Shoppe. Items can be dropped off between November 21 and December 12.

St. Timothy Church in Maple Lake will be coordinating this ministry. If your group or organization plans on doing a special project for a family or families in this area, please contact St. Timothy’s Church so duplication can be prevented. If you or your group would like to help, please call Liz at 763-913-5548 or the St. Timothy’s Parish Office at 320-963-3726.

Assistance applications can be obtained from the Parish Office at St. Timothy Catholic Church in Maple Lake, on the Parish website https://churchofsttimothy.org or at Wright County Human Services in Buffalo.
