Medical device manufacturer opens

Maple Lake has become home to a unique joint venture between Visura Technologies, Incorporated, a privately owned medical device company based in Minneapolis, and YKK Corporation of America, a subsidiary of Japan-based YKK Corporation. The two companies announced last week the launch of Evevo Manufacturing LLC, a new medical device contract manufacturing company headquartered in Maple Lake’s industrial park that will focus solely on serving start-ups and emerging companies. “Evevo Manufacturing’s focus will be on supporting start-up and emerging medical device companies that often have a difficult time finding and keeping the attention of the contract manufacturing partners,” said Irvin Pierskalla, vice president of operations at Evevo Manufacturing. “The entire Evevo team has extensive experience in the start-up world; we’ve ‘been there.’ When clients come to us, we understand the stage they’re at and will be able to work with them to form a manufacturing partnership that meets their goals.”

The Maple Lake company is conveniently located near Minnesota’s many start-up and emerging medical device companies. Its 1,125 square foot manufacturing facilities are FDA-registered and ISO-certified including an ISO 7 class cleanroom. Evevo’s facilities are designed to grow and flex quickly and cost-effectively as its customers grow and markets evolve. Evevo also has the ability to add additional space in the near future as growth requires. Evevo began manufacturing products for Visura in October although talks about the joint venture have reportedly been in the works for many months. The Maple Lake company’s integrated manufacturing capabilities include assembly, testing, packaging, sterilization coordination, unique device identification (UDI), labeling and supplier management. Evevo’s medical device markets experience includes Class I and Class II, disposables, capital equipment, and sterile and nonsterile products.
