The noticeably smaller Irish played scrappy defense all night against the larger Falcons, managing to create 16 turnovers, but they also had 25 turnovers of their own and the Falcons capitalized where the Irish couldn’t.
By halftime, ACGC held a commanding 31-13 lead.
The Irish continued to work hard on rebounding despite being noticeably undersized. ACGC attempted nearly 20 more shots than the Irish thanks to offensive rebounds.
“Ball control is a challenge, but these girls are truly working to make the necessary changes. Working hard to adapt and change will pay dividends down the road,” Head Coach Adam Ronnenberg said.
Aleigha Jensen led scoring for the Irish with 13 points.

The Irish faced the best three-point shooter and the top rebounder in the conference when they faced Royalton, plus three girls over six feet tall. . . “needless to say it was a tall task for the Irish,” Coach Ronnenberg said.
The Irish battled and held Royalton’s leading scorer to just seven, when she averages about 20 a game, but other Royalton shooters were able to knock down shots.
