Keith W. Harding, Maple Lake

Keith W. Harding, age 67, of Maple Lake, died peacefully at home with his wife by his side on Thursday, February 15, 2024.

A gathering will be held from 4-6 p.m. with a time to share memories at 5 p.m., both on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Dingmann Funeral Care Chapel in Annandale.

Keith Warren Harding was born September 10, 1956, in Robbinsdale, Minnesota to Kenneth and Doris (Robeck) Harding. Keith grew up in Annandale and lived in the area most of his life. After dating for seven years, he was united in marriage to Julia Cassellius on October 17, 1981, at St. Ignatius Catholic Church in Annandale. Keith was always happiest working for himself, and he proudly owned and operated Harding’s Towing out of Maple Lake for 27 years. He retired in 2016 after knee replacements forced him into early retirement. Keith was a motor head at heart. He often had a project to tinker on, whether it be a demo derby car, tractor, or a remote-control Bobcat that was “for the grandkids.” He loved classic cars and always had one tucked away in his shed that he pulled out for special occasions. Keith enjoyed spending time with his kids in his younger years, and later in life found the same joy in his grandkids. He loved shooting hoops, taking his kids and grandkids on outings, or having them over for visits where they watched scary movies and enjoyed way too many treats.

Keith is survived by his wife of 42 years, Julia of Maple Lake; children, Lindsay (Jacob) Salo of Annandale, and Craig (Tami) Harding of Montrose; grandchildren Steven, Emma, Ezra, and Devin; sister, Mary (Michael) Walberg of Elk River; brother-in-law, Clair Nelson of Annandale; and many nieces, nephews, and other family members.  He was preceded in death by his parents; infant daughter, Janelle; sister, LuAnn Nelson; baby sister, Judith; and baby brother, Robert.
