Annandale-Maple Lake freshman heavyweight wrestler Adam Klatt became the 9th Grade League State Champion after an undefeated day at the 9th Grade League State Tournament last weekend. The Lightning qualified two freshmen for the prestigious event. Calen Hardin wrestled in the 121-pound bracket, going 1-1 before coaches had to withdraw him from the tournament because of an injury. Hardin finished the season 18-11 overall. Klatt not only went 4-0 at the state tournament to reach the top of the podium, he did it with three pins and a 1-0 decision in the championship match. He finished the season 20-10.
