Dayzie Floding is the 2024 Miss Maple Lake. She was crowned along with four others Saturday evening, March 16th at the high school auditorium following the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Representing Maple Lake with her this year will be Princess Mackenzie Gunderson, Junior Princess Lillian Enger and Little Miss Maple Lake Aurora Knapp and Delaney Miller. Gunderson was also voted Miss Congeniality by her fellow candidates.

The event drew a standing-room only crowd, including a large “sparkle section” dedicated to visiting royalty from other communities and was emceed by Pastor Culynn Curtis. The candidates and current royalty opened with a dance routine they’d been practicing for weeks followed by the introduction of this year’s judges.

Pastor Curtis explained how organizers intentionally choose judges from other communities so they can observe candidates with a fresh eye. They look for confidence, kindness, respect towards parents and each other, how well candidates’ personalities work together and if they have a good positive attitude through different situations.

Coronation is the culmination of a several months’- long candidacy period where the seven candidates participated in numerous activities, contests, and events.

The newly crowned Maple Lake Royalty are,  Little Miss Aurora Knapp, Junior Princess Lillian Enger, Miss Maple Lake Dayzie Floding, Princess and Miss Congeniality Mackenzie Gunderson and Little Miss Delaney Miller.
