The Maple Lake High School gymnastics team recognized athletes for their exemplary performances in the gym and in the classroom at an awards ceremony recently.
Individual award winners were Addison Kramer, Most Valuable Gymnast; Avery Como, Most Improved; Ashley Gaffaney, Hardest Worker and Addison Kramer, All-Conference Honorable Mention.
Eight athletes were awarded the Spotlight on Scholarship award which recognizes athletes with GPAs between 3.0 and 4.0. They were, Gaffaney, Kramer, Abigail Torblaa, Jacqueline Pribyl, Claire Lee, Lilian O’Donnell, Cloie Peterson and Como.
The Irish gymnastics team was also recognized as Team All-Academic Section, Silver.
