Miss Maple Lake, Dayzie Floding was treated to lunch at Bernatello’s Foods last week in honor of her recent coronation. On the menu was pizza of course, including the company’s newly released dessert pizzas.
Bernatello’s Foods, who is one of Floding’s sponsors, invited her and her family to lunch to celebrate her accomplishment and gift her with an entire case of her favorite pizza.
“We’re so proud of Dayzie,” said Bernatello’s Kelly Kurz.
Floding was crowned Miss Maple Lake on March 16th after the St. Patrick’s Day Parade along with four other young ladies – Princess Mackenzie Gunderson, Junior Princess Lillian Enger and Little Miss Aurora Knapp and Delaney Miller – who will represent the community as Maple Lake Royalty.
During lunch, which included one of Floding’s favorite Bernatello’s pizzas, the Mac Attack, Floding shared what her first two weeks as Miss Maple Lake have been like.
So far, she and her fellow royals spent a day trying on outfits and building their wardrobes with a professional photo shoot planned for this week. On March 23, they attended their first coronation, the Wright County Dairy Princess coronation in Howard Lake and on March 24, they lent a hand at the Maple Lake Lion’s Pancake Breakfast and Candy Scramble. They also attended their first “meet and greet” with Albertville princesses.
The ladies will stay busy this spring with a Culvers fundraiser and the Albertville Ball before launching into the summer parade and festival season.
Floding said she was excited to receive the invitation for lunch from Bernatello’s. According to her mom Amanda Oaks, the company has been very supportive, posting Dayzie’s photo on their outdoor electronic sign along with a message of congratulations soon after she was crowned.
As Bernatello’s Amy Kelly put it, “She’s our girl!
