Two local friends are responding to the urgent need for quality childcare with the opening of their new center, Lucky Charms Childcare & Preschool in Maple Lake late this summer.
Co-owners Shayna Nix and Danielle Norgren said they plan to break ground in May on the 6,300 square foot facility just west of the Dollar General.
The center will be licensed for 91 children aged six weeks to 12 years old with five classrooms, six teachers plus assistants and aids and before and after school care. The 1 ½ acre site will also have plenty of room for outdoor play, they said. The women hope to open by mid-August.
