Legacy Elite takes first

The local Legacy Football Club (LFC) Girls 2008 Elite team traveled to Minnetonka to participate in the Tonka Splash Tournament June 7-9 and came out Champions. The first two games ended in ties of 0-0 each. The third game they won 2-1. The championship is one they will remember for a long time, coaches said. By the end of regular play and overtime, they went into a shootout where kickers from each team take a shot against the opposing goalkeeper. It was a nine round shootout with LFC taking the win and first place. The winning goalkeeper, with a clean sheet in the championship is Emma Marzean.
